Bronchial Asthma in Infants
Bronchial asthma is the most common chronic disease in children, and it consists in a chronic inflammatory disorder affecting the lower airways. It is characterized by airflow obstruction triggered by the action of several stimuli that result in bronchoconstriction, mucosal edema, and hypersecretion, all of which can be either partially or totally reversible by means of their own action or with bronchodilator therapy.
